APPLICATIONS ADMINISTRATOR

 

StoneMor Partners is looking for An Applications Administrator to join our corporate IT team. This position is located in our Trevose, PA national headquarters.

 

 

The Applications Administrator is focused on managing the day-to-day operations of a suite of business-critical applications throughout Stonemor Partners. This position will work closely with both the infrastructure and development teams to ensure the applications are achieving required service levels. This position will support business units in the effective and efficient use of software applications by applying software features to business functions, developing reporting and providing training. Serve as the liaison between the business end-users and the software vendor/development group in order to provide solutions to meet user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage business critical applications to ensure stable operations
  • Monitor integrations between systems to ensure uptime and performance goals are met
  • Provide rapid incident response, may be required to provide after hour support as needed
  • Perform application patching and upgrades
  • Manage non-production instances in support of development and software quality assurance
  • Maintain operational documentation, document/update processes, and procedures for supporting applications
  • Provide technical support in accurately researching or troubleshooting software and resolving problems with minimum interruption of service
  • Coordinate the escalation and tracking of issues with external support vendors
  • Reviews operational procedures and methods; maps current business processes; defines and analyzes business activities; identifies best practices; and recommends improvements.
  • Consults with users to identify, analyze, refine and document business requirements for changes to existing applications.
  • Translates high level business requirements for changes/enhancements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications
  • Conduct research to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist within or outside the business unit, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible.
  • Validate pending software modifications in test environment to confirm that the functionality meets the documented specification.
  • Effectively communicate across all levels of the organization to identify, research, and resolve problems.
  • Follows up with internal clients about completed tasks and keeps them informed of developments affecting their functions
  • Leverage knowledge of application features and functions to assess scope and impact of business needs
  • Works with business partners within one business function to align technology solutions with business strategies
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Work with internal and external customers and vendors to develop solutions.
  • Continually work to increase understanding of company applications and business processes.
  • Develop and deliver application training to trainers and end users.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • 2+ years of experience managing business critical applications, examples may include, ERP, Financial Accounting, Order Management, Warehouse Management
  • Experience with financial applications, such as Lawson and Hyperion, is a plus
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Familiarity with database concepts, data extraction and reporting
  • Understanding of IT system concepts
  • Understanding of corporate business operations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel desirable.
