StoneMor Partners L.P. is conducting a search for an Area Sales Manager for our cemeteries in Lynchburg, VA. This position is responsible for managing the sale of all StoneMor products and/or services in a defined geographic area through assigned Sales Managers and other Sales staff.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the attainment of assigned sales quotas by overseeing production at all locations and providing direction and recommendations to maximize sales.
  • Manage all sales personnel in assigned region and provide support and on-going training.
  • Travel to all assigned locations regularly to meet any managerial needs of location and provide support. 
  • Abide by and enforce all company policies and directives. 
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with representatives of community, consumer, employee, and public interest groups.
  • Provide direction in the hiring, promotion and termination of assigned staff, ensuring company policies are adhered to in all personnel actions.
  • Hold conference calls with assigned sales personnel to communicate the current and future needs of the area and distribute any necessary information.
  • Provide regular communication with Location, Area, and Regional Management to ensure seamless support of location needs.
  • This position is responsible for traveling 50-70% of the time.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required with additional education preferred in related areas such as Business, Marketing and Sales.
  • 5+ years of direct sales management experience, preferably in B2C industry.
  • Experience managing multiple sites is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated leadership, motivational, management and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to oversee sales managers and staff at multiple locations.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and networking skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Ability to work and communicate with all levels of organization and temperament to communicate with a variety of personalities in a tactful, pleasant, and professional manner.
  • Thorough knowledge of sales cycle, lead management and the ability to develop new and effective methods of increasing sales in a competitive environment.
  • Understanding of general business operations.
  • Analytic ability and independent judgment are required to devise new methods in situations where previously accepted methods have proven inadequate.
  • Ability to handle performance and employee relations issues according to employment law and Company guidelines.
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
