StoneMor Partners is conducting a search for a Tax Staff Accountant to join our corporate Accounting team in Trevose, PA.


The Tax Staff Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of tax and compliance forms. This position will report directly to our Tax Manager.

  • Review and manage all monthly, quarterly, and annual filling and remittance of sales tax for all funeral and cemeteries, on both the state and local level.
  • Prepare book entries to record the sales tax payments on the proper legal entity.
  • Research RIA checkpoint for classification and rate changes.
  • Point of contact for state and local entities for any issues or questions.
  • Filing of personal property returns for funeral homes and cemeteries on the state and local level.
  • Research internal asset transfers and disposals for accurate reporting.
  • Resolve disputes for the state and local entities in the event of an error on reporting or any pending audits.
  • Annual filing of exemption paperwork to keep our cemeteries in exempt status in California, Washington, and Indiana.
  • Assist Senior Tax Accountant in completing income tax returns for Stonemor Partners, LP and all related entities.
  • Complete journal entries to reflect book to tax adjustment using OneSource for Stonemor Partners LP.



  • BS Degree in Tax, Accounting.
  • 1-2 years of experience in tax return preparation.
  • CPA or equivalent certification.
  • MLP experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Able to abide by all company policies and keep sensitive information confidential.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Well Organized.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize.
