    StoneMor Partners L.P. is conducting a search for an Area Maintenance Director for our cemeteries in Florida. 


    This position is responsible for the care, maintenance, safety and security of the employees and visitors of assigned locations while ensuring staff is maintaining the overall upkeep and appearance of the property. This position is responsible for traveling to assigned sites 60-70% of the time.

    • Travels to all assigned locations a regular basis to meet any managerial needs, provide support, and ensure that maintenance staffs are completing their responsibilities proficiently.
    • Ensures the safety of all patrons who visit cemeteries and funeral homes and all its employees.
    • Ensures maintenance of all StoneMor properties and their improvements, including buildings and their fixtures, equipment, and all operations.
    • Delegates and assigns projects as needed.
    • Supports and trains location Superintendents as needed.
    • Ensures that all maintenance staff continually works toward the mission and goals of the Company.
    • Enforces all Company policies and procedures and disciplines subordinates as needed.
    • Recruits Maintenance staff at locations by posting positions, interview candidates, and making offers to candidates.  
    • Maintains and operates machinery appropriately in a safe manner.
    • Provides coverage for superintendents during leave or vacation, as necessary.
    • Meets and works with Sales and Administration to recognize and discuss current and future needs of locations.
    • Coordinates with the Regional Maintenance Director to discuss and resolve escalated matters.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Director of Maintenance and Development.


    Education and/or Experience:

    • A high school diploma.  
    • 3-5 years experience in maintenance/construction.
    • 2+ years experience managing maintenance staff.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

    Required Skills:

    • Ability to supervise location superintendents & groundskeepers.
    • Ability to train, monitor and appropriately address performance matters.
    • General understanding of state cemetery regulations is highly preferred.
    • Ability to handle employee relations issues according to state and federal employment law.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks with interruptions.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
