    Quantitative Data Analyst


    StoneMor Partners is looking for a Quantitative Data Analyst to join our corporate Accounting team. This position is located in our Trevose, PA national headquarters.

    This position requires an understanding of data structures, tools, technology and a passion for using data to change the way processes within the company operate.

    Responsibilities

    • Use Data analysis techniques to support accounting and audit objectives.
    • Obtain understanding and access to date sources relevant to assigned projects.
    • Coordinate with stake holders and business partners within the organization regarding data driven projects.
    • Document end to end processes and observations.
    • Participate in data analytics projects to support larger accounting/audit related initiatives.
    • Assist internal/external auditors with data required for audit efficiency and effectiveness.

    Qualifications

    • Experience working on data projects, leveraging the data to reach conclusions and develop solutions to business challenges.
    • 3+ year’s experience analyzing data within an internal/external audit, control or business analytics unit.
    • Bachelor’s degree demonstrating skills in accounting, audit and quantitative methods.
    • Strong data analysis skills – querying, extraction, transformation and analysis.
    • Able to communicate effectively and understand accounting, IT/IS and business units aspects of data projects.
    • Knowledge of risk assessment, audit methodology and audit practices, including COA’s, Consolidations, JE CAATS.
    • Proficient with data analysis tools and techniques (SQL, ACL, data conversion tools, Access)
    • Must be a “power user” with Excel
    • Hands on experience with risk and controls frameworks, from both the IT side and the business processes side.
    • Preferred experience with Lawson Financials, I-series legacy systems.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
